Hello, I have a little insight on this issue. I have recently inserted SD cards and one camera that I am not able to recall video from SD card. It reports usage on the SD card memory. I do know that this camera does have connectivity issues in the past when conncecting live compared to my other three cameras. It would take longer to connect and once in a great while it would havr to try again. Even the cloud recordings are not always reported when I know there should be something recorded. The signal strength is the same as other camera according to the settings on each camera. I think the weaker connection is related, I am in works to increase that strength and will let you know if it is a good fix. Just an ideal to work. Use your phone, stand by the camera and do a signal test/speed test.

Yes, I solved the problem by buying the Tapo C120

Recording and playback to the sd card worked flawlessly for years…. Until now
Tried all suggested remedies
Perhaps they just want you to pay for cloud coverage. Very dissatisfied and will look to another vendor

In your case your card may have just reached the end of its lifespan, they are each rated for a certain amount of writes (and are prone to weather/temperature failures too). Have you tried a new or known good card?

They have not disabled SD card recording to force people to subscribe.
