Android Only
Version: 3.3.5.b620
What’s New:
To all,
Installed 3.3.5 b620 from Play at 1:00pm PST.
Installed without issue. Did cursory check of 12 cameras.
All good so far.
Error -10003 is fixed when trying to view Cam V3 in a group. This was an issue on the previous Android Wyze beta 3.3.5.b612 and it only happened when you install fresh from Google Play (uninstall and install again).
There’s still a bug with trying to edit the old Floodlight V1 (with the Cam V3 attached) on the Favorites tab for “Turning on Floodlight for” x minutes automation shortcut. You can’t modify the time as it will say “delay time is too short” when you try to save the setting. It’s a relatively minor issue as you can still modify the automation shortcut in the “Automation” tab.
Thankfully, I can confirm that other bugs are still fixed on this latest beta and didn’t pop up again:
That’s a really interesting note to include. Hopefully it’ll be a production fix at some point and will eliminate that problem for other cameras, as well, and then maybe @dave27 can get a break from pointing it out to other users.
Still makes no sense that it is showing a PNG also. Eliminating that would have solved both issues…
I suppose there are probably other ways to show the user a thumbnail in the app, but that’s probably the easiest. That’s why it makes sense to me, anyway.
I don’t think it’s intentional, it isn’t saving a small thumbnail, it is a full size picture like if you had hit “take picture”. Never did that on older versions and everything worked fine…
Sometimes I wonder if they even realize there is a bug like this. I know they supposedly monitor these forums but if they did, they’d know very well that it has been an issue for months now. Similar to the OG not showing icons in the timeline that a wyze employee was surprised to hear about a few days ago.
If support didn’t make you go through 30 minutes of totally unrelated useless troubleshooting to open a ticket, I’d be more inclined to report these things to them.
But if it at least shows both now, that’s a step in the right direction.
Success! Just downloaded the latest version just now. And the person detection filter works!
