A few months ago I stopped using a camera attached to my 3d printer. Just wasn’t printing anything for a while. Tried to start it up again and nothing. No light in the back, no response, nothing. I moved another camera from a place where I didn’t really need one and, even though it was working when I unplugged it, it doesn’t work now. Same problem - no light, no response - nothing. Called Wyze and they told me to buy 2 new cameras. I tried resetting, swapping cables, swapping adapters, swapping wall outlets. Anybody know of anything else I could try?
Did you initially plug camera 2 into the same USB power supply as the first? If so, if that supply has gone bad and is putting out too much voltage, it may have fried the second camera just like the first. If you have a USB tester (or are careful with a multimeter) you can check the voltage output of the power supply to see.
Could be the wall outlet too, but if it was hooked to 220V accidentally, it would be frying more than just a couple power supplies, and likely in more spectacular fashion.
