Using the display on Windows 10, one camera disconnects constantly and one camera recently started showing a solid green screen until I do a refresh. I’m not sure what the current firmware is but I’m not sure about upgrading with maybe even more problems. Disconnecting camera is at firmware 4.36.9.139. Green screen camera is at 4.36.11.7095. Seems like this display gets worse and worse. Correct: Now they both turned green.
(Chose “android” only because it forced me to pick a phone type.)
Since your .139 firmware on the one cam is from May 2022 and the .7095 is from October 2023 maybe you should try a firmware update?
If you are using a Windows 10 computer what 3rd part software are you using to view the cameras, Blue Stacks?
I paid $20 each to view the cameras with the Wyze software. I can try updating the firmware, but keep in mind the green screen started a couple of days ago. I has nothing to do with the firmware. I don’t know about the disconnecting problem, but sometimes it doesn’t happen at all and sometimes it can barely stay connected for a few minutes. I tend to think, from a logic point of view, that it is Wyze’s problem.
WYZE does not have a native app that works with a Windows 10 PC. So What program are you or were you using to view the cameras? Are you using the web portal here on
https://my.wyze.com/ ? That is a complete different story. I can view all 12 of my cams there using Google Chrome. Can you view the camera live feeds on your phone/device using the WYZE app?
You might not call it a “native app” but using their interface involves programming. Yes, that’s what I am doing. I am not using Chrome. I do not like how invasive it is. Wyze should test and ensure compatibility with Edge also.
Looks like you’ve done your own programming to view Wyze cameras on Windows 10. I doubt there will be anyone here who could help you. You made your own stew, enjoy it!
Not at all! If you read what I wrote, I am using Wyze’s interface. I paid money to use this! I am using a browser. Sarcasm is not appreciated.
For what it’s worth, I have the same issues with some of my cameras. Although this has happened on my V3 once, it repeatedly happens on my Wyze Cam Outdoor camera. The first few seconds of the video will record as intended, then it will be followed by the same green screen in the OP’s post and an error message with the error code 4003. When trying to view the event through the Wyze Web Portal, it will play the first few seconds, then say “Unable to load this Event. Please check your internet connection and try again to load this Event.”
The camera in question is:
Device Model: Wyze Cam Outdoor
Firmware Version: 4.17.4.427
I am using the latest Beta version of the Wyze app on Android.
I don’t watch much on my Android so it may be happening there also.
First, I will confirm He is using the wyze interface, I have windows 10 and use the same interface. I’m not a programmer by any means. I sign into the wyze website, click on my cameras and boom there the feed is.
Second, You are the first person who has posted with similar issues to what I’ve been having, Both my V3 cam and V4 cams had the odd green screen thing, except mine was all green with weird lines, or a grid of what looked like tiny versions of what my cam should see but distorted looking. Not to mention the constant disconnects.
I am pretty sure I know what my issue is and has been.
So I have a question for you, Do you have any near by neighbors who do not like you, or do not like your cameras?
If you can not say no with 100% certainty you may want to buy a DSTIKE deauthentication packet detector. If you don’t know what it’s for Google it. It’s like 20 bucks and plugs into a phone charger, easy to use.
My husband and I both have protective stalking orders against our next door neighbor because they have messed with every aspect of our lives they can think of for 3 years. One aspect being my cameras.
I plugged my DSTIKE in and it alerted me to someone nearby sending messages to my router to tell it to disconnect all 2.4ghz connections. This happened 944 times in 24 hours earlier this week. You may also want to look up session hijacking, MITM attacks and evil twin attacks.
I hope you aren’t dealing with what I have been/am experiencing
Oh also the green screen thing happened on my A12, A53 and my new iPhone.
And a last note to anyone reading this who uses 2.4ghz wireless devices at home, look up what a flipper zero is and look up a Hack rf1.
You won’t like what those things (that are readily available to anyone who can pay for them) are capable of.
I get an occasional green screen when attempting a live view. The most recent was yesterday trying to live stream a BCP in my garage from an A53. All other cams were live streaming to tablets at the time with no issues. The nearest human is over 1/4 mile away through the woods if they’re even home. I killed the app, restarted app and cam streamed fine.
@Shifty - If you’re using the Edge browser for Wyze’s Web View, try disabling graphics acceleration via Edge browser settings > System and performance > Use graphics acceleration when available > toggle off > restart.
I’m on 10 acres, so no neighbors that close and my closest neighbors are fine. So sorry to hear about you having [jerks] next to you.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll try that.
Let me first apologize for coming off as sarcastic. No sarcasm was intended, but if you go and re-read what you wrote (looks like you edited the original post and removed being a programmer reference), you will clearly see where my assumption came from. No where in your original post have you mentioned WebView or WebPortal, all you are saying is that you can’t view the cameras in Windows 10 and you are a programmer. Wyze never supported desktop OSs and it will be a cold day in hell when they do. They have million of issues to deal with as it is and adding desktop OS would be suicide for them.
So, once again, I am sorry for my post sounding sarcastic, but next time, please read what you write.
To clarify, I never said I was a programmer because I am not. A systems analyst, tech writer, QA manager, etc., but never programmed. I have extensively tested web applications and just meant that they have to do some programming to implement this. I did say I paid $20 for each camera to access them from Windows. I didn’t remember what they called it, so my bad there.
Turned off graphics acceleration and so far so good (a few hours).
It’s all water under the bridge…
