I have a Samsung Flip running the Wyze cam software. I have cams with SD cards in all of them with Continuous Recordings. In previous app versions, in the SD Card (or Playback) mode, I used to Zoom into a location and change the timeline to see the contents change in that zoomed location. The camera would NOT ZOOM out. Even Smart Focus remained on the zoomed location.
But now when I zoom in and change the timeline, the camera zooms all the way out. I have to zoom in AGAIN to the same location to see if the zoomed location contents changed.
This is very important to zoom into a location and see the contents change WHILE the location is zoomed in; especially if the zoomed location is far away. PLEASE HELP
I noticed it when the APP updated some months ago, I lost the overlayed time scroll slider at the bottom of the full screen image, that was very very useful to locate small details in areas of the image, now the app 3.11.6 still keeps doing it in V3, V4 and V3 Pan cams, is very frustrating, I don’t understand how people say its working for them in IOs, with my Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 5G with Android 15 zoom is reset when you move the time slider, also the horizontal view side time slider is useless, don’t know the sense to do that, we had a full screen time scrolling capability and they killed to introduce this side slider causing the image be small, together with that they kill the keep zoom level during time scrolling, they converted the camera in an useless piece of recording device, this was indicated in 2025 and still the problem is present in Android, they should support better the Android OS due to the higher number of users at global levels compared to IOs, they do the opposite, probably because the programmers at Wyze are using IOs… you don’t need to kill good features of the APP to introduce new ones, at least create a option in the menu where you can configure which type of playback interface you prefer to use older one (fill screen slider with zoom keep feature) or the newer useless one… but do something please… also the FAST PLAYBACK should have been introduced a long time ago, is very frustrating trying to look for an event in several hours or days time period to try to locate the exact moment, a 2X 4X 8X 10X would be very very useful
