for some reason after the update the wize cam screen when i try to zoom in, distorts as if the zoom code was set to Horizontal 20%, Vertical 80% it looks terrible. not good for a security camera when you cant properly zoom in.

Known issue and first forum search hit for “zoom”.
So I noticed today that I can no longer zoom in as far on my v2 cameras. Is anyone else noticing this? Is this an app issue or a camera issue? It’s all of my v2s. I can zoom in a little bit but not nearly as well as I used to be able to

Same here. Known or not, it’s important we keep talking about it and bringing it up. This shouldn’t be a difficult fix, as it was working properly a few days ago.
This is a known issue, This is what Wyze Said in another Forum Topic:
Thank you for the feedback. The zooming issue has not fixed yet. Will update with you when it is fixed
I’m experiencing the same issue on my Pixel 5.
The thread you linked is not talking about distortion at all. However, it does seem a zoom distortion issue was reported over a year ago here:
When using the Wyze cam app on the latest version of Android on an S10e and a Pixel 2 XL, when I pinch to zoom the image stretches and distorts the image ratio. My child looks like an alien baby when I zoom in because of her elongated head due to the ratio stretch. When I zoom out to the full picture the proper ratio snaps into place.
Pretty sure she’s not shape-shifting… at least I hope not. Happens on both devices.
Android 10 with the latest updates. Any solutions to this or is this a bug?
Which is weird, because I had the Pixel 2 XL at that time and didn’t have any issues. The zoom distortion I am experiencing on my Pixel 5 started only a few weeks ago.
