WyzeCam making requests to www.baidu.com

Is it normal for my camera to be making calls to www.baidu.com? Why? Is there documentation somewhere that lists all the endpoints it should be talking to and what each is for?

I don’t recall seeing that before. Here’s the list my router provides, number of requests and domains:

41326 www.baidu.com (this forum website is adding the http:// part)
20657 m2.iotcplatform.com
20656 m1.iotcplatform.com
20655 m3.iotcplatform.com
20654 m4.iotcplatform.com
12060 api.wyzecam.com
56 time.windows.com

Any update on this one? My wyze mesh routers (specifically the satellite routers of the mesh network) are hitting baidu.com every few seconds. Wyze support has indicated it isnt normal behavior, but not why yet.

Only suggested to factory reset and add the routers back to the network which I’ve done and its still occuring.

This thread is almost 7 years old and related to cameras not routers…

IOT devices use lots of different services “in the cloud” to do their jobs. Could be related to integration with Amazon/Google/Apple home products, or some other functionality.
