I have that problem as well. Every summer the bees are buzzing around or on my cams. They may see their reflection in the lens, your guess is good as mine. Several other threads about wasps as well.
Is there a specific reason wasps love these cameras haha. I feel like someone is training them to block out the view. Can I get an anti-wasp attachment Wyze?
Am I the only one who gets about 6 notifications per day of just wasps buzzing the lens? I know it is not really meant for outside use, but its well covered by the front porch roof. The only problem has been the wasps. I’ve adjusted the motion sensitivity, but that hasn’t helped. Maybe I need to look into wasp repellents?
I have a few v2’s outside (though covered from rain). I’ve noticed that flying insects, primarily wasps, like to bump up against them.
I can understand it at night because of the IR emitter drawing them in.
But during the day, IR is off. So why would they be interested in my little wyze cams?
Well, I think maybe the black circle on a white box, looks like a hole that insects would want to go inside to build a nest.
I’m thinking of trying an experiment. Masking off the lens, and then spray…
