Does the new chime for the Wyze Video Doorbell Pro cover up both plugs on a standard household outlet? It appear so in the pictures on the website for the product.
Or can it be moved up or down to allow access to the unused outlet?

I voted. Thanks!
Yes. If they don’t sell new products, there won’t be a company around to maintain their current products. I don’t understand why some can’t understand that.
I do not believe you can control this by time on the Wyze App.
It’s either on or off… Under Account, Notifications, In-App Notifications.
That being said depending on what mobile device and what operating system you have you may be able to control your notifications via the device so you only receive notifications of your choice after 10PM.
I think here they just have it flipped upside down, for some reason. Here’s another shot at it from the intro video. So, yes, it does look like you can have access to the other receptacle.
Was ready to jump on this - would have been the thing to finally push me into ditching my Nest and getting a Cam Plus sub.
But, no local storage (not even enough to cover a temporary WiFi outage) and no existing chime trigger, means this can’t replace my existing DB cam.
Close, but no cigar.
I have purchased all of the Wyze pre-order items some have been better then others but I appreciate all of the new items that you try and provide to us. Thank you! I don’t want to be like some of the others and just bash on the new products but offer only my option for feedback. I’m kind of disappointed in the Doorbell Pro. I currently have the Wyze doorbell and have no major issues. Some minor design changes would be nice and fixing the motion detection so that car headlights don’t set it off but it does it’s job. With the new Pro model I don’t see any improvements that would make it worthy of the Pro name. A battery, 5ghz, and fisheye camera are not. Some good features but not a huge improvement. Features that I would have like to see #1 SD Card slot, #2 Starlight camera like V3 #Able to connect to existing chime. #4 Fixing the motion detection so that headlights don’t set it off at night. So with that being said I will not be purchasing the new doorbell pro due to the fact I don’t like the fisheye camera and don’t see any improvement that would benefit me over my Wyze doorbell. If it had an SD slot I would have bought it regardless of the other options or features. The ability to record locally 24/7 is what brought me to purchase Wyze cameras in the first place. Most of us enjoy that feature and besides the price that’s what separates you from the competition. Thank you keep up the good work and new products.
This actually SHOULD be better with the new model. (I don’t know for sure, as I don’t have the Pro.) The original Doorbell used the same “pixel change” motion detection as the V2 & V3 cameras. It’s simply looking for a certain number of pixels to change to indicate motion. The Doorbell Pro uses an IR motion sensor. Using this type of motion sensor should cut down on false alarms from things like headlights or leavings blowing, etc. At least it’s my understanding that it uses the IR sensor… it would make sense with it being battery operated.
Nah…… will not even consider it unless those things happen
1 -Not sure if Alexa or google home is supported? But who uses door chime anymore… now days, chime is only good with displays….
2-RTSP must be supported, I don’t want another product need to wait a year like cam V3.
Gosh I waited for this Wyze! I did plan to get cam + with this expecting in combination with local storage.
You guys pushed me to ring doorbell unfortunately. Local storage is a must have for me if using a video doorbell.
I recently moved to a new home and was disappointed it didn’t have a doorbell. When I saw this product advertised recently I was excited… until I saw this post stating no local SD storage capability.
Understandably, the push towards subscription based services nets in continual income stream but this issue is not simply about money. Right now if this product loses network connection, there’s no record of what happened. I would rather have a video of the porch pirate than not. Please do bring this issue to the development team to add local storage as a basic requirement of any product that records video. I honestly don’t mind paying slightly more to have the local storage option than not have it at all.
I don’t understand all the no local storage chatter. The current video doorbell doesn’t have a storage. Thanks Wyze, I’m in for 2.
After reading this thread and finding no local SD card option, The Video Doorbell Pro has joined my list of JUNK Wyze Products, won’t waste my money on this either.
Only own V3’s, V2’s and 1 Pan Cam, And have Annual Cam Plus Unlimited 99 license plan…
Wyze will not see any of my money for the other JUNK they sell
I did not watch the Video, thank you for sharing this info. Surprising that Wyze doesn’t show the chime plugged in showing the other outlet available on the main site for the product.
The product is still a pass for me, I’ll stay with my V1 of the doorbell.

I lost power one day, so, no power to my V1 doorbell.
Power returned, my Wireless router did not power back up.
I lost a full day of no video recorded at my doorbell for this reason.
Someone came to the door, knocked very loudly, and obnoxiously… My Wife, who is disabled, could not make it the door while I was at work.
With no local SD to record video, I’ll never know who was at the door that day.
Perhaps a porch pirate stealing packages off one’s porch would miss that video as well, if wireless where interrupted for whatever reason.
+1… for SD Local Storage

PLEASE Wyze make a local base, for storage and also for the AI to take devices off WiFi. PLEASE this is a must.
I’m gonna have to agree with the base part, I want to be able to connect ALL my cameras to the base, this needs to be addressed somehow cuz I hate everything on wifi hence why all my smart lighting and switches ALL run off bases, not crappy wifi.
yes Wyazz. I know.
I dont agree with the apologists here saying that ‘if a thief wants it he will take it’
do these ppl leave their houses unlocked? their cars?
there is a reason the competition doesnt offer screwless mounts.
if it continues with this direction the Wyze brand will be synonymous with the clueless homeowner, a symbol of an easy target for criminals.
how about this for an idea Wyze : redesign the product so you can attach it to the door window glass from the inside with self adhesive, and use the camera to ‘see’ if the person made an attempt to ‘press’ the button to chime the bell. thats screwless and secure.
