Wyze V4 Costco 2 cam with 6 month cloud storage free. Is it?

I recently bought 2 camera with 6 months free cloud storage from Costco. How do I enable cloud storage? All I see is, it is asking me to sign-ip cam plus monthly or early or 31days trial. Do I have to return this ? I bought this mainly for the free cloud storage.

useless bot. It created a ticket yesterday and no one contacted. Today the bot just stuck.

If the Help Center’s chat bot actually created a ticket (the process seems to have changed recently), then you should’ve at least received an initial e-mail message from the Wyze-E bot. That’s been my experience over the past year, anyway.

I don’t know anything about the special deal with Costco, but I’d expect a human ā€œWyze Wizardā€ to be able to answer the questions for you.

Wyze should aim to make sales-suggested discounts and bonus services as solid, clear and straightforward to redeem as Wyze Cash Credit was for me here:

To fail to do so reverses the enthusiasm of having snagged a good deal to resentment at having to untangle some techno-phantom cyber mess. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

I had this experience with cam v2s sold with Cam Plus bonus years ago. :hourglass_done:

I agree that they could be more clear and direct in their communication. I see so many questions about subscription-related things, and I just don’t know the answers. I won’t tell the Sailor Man that you got a solid answer from the robot. :grin:

ā€œgreat customer serviceā€ ? I am not sure. This should have been taken care out of the box. It has been 2 days with customer service and no action taken to enable my free cloud service. Imagine if people don’t pay attention to this and assume free 6 months service is by default comes. Why do I have to reach out to customer service in the 1st place. I never expected this from wyze.

Tried to call the customer service, again there is a bot making so much confusion and finally connecting to agent but no one showed up for an hour. Email response also stopped. I have to seriously think about wyze now.

This is 3rd day and no resolution yet.

I think @Antonius was referring directly to @peepeep, not making a comment about Wyze’s actual customer service.

I did a little poking around on Costco’s Web site and saw that the reviews are mixed on this 2-pack of Cam v4s, seemingly because of confusion about the service. At least one user reported just signing up for the trial in the app and having no problems at all.

I haven’t ever personally phoned Wyze Support, but I’ve had communication with humans when I’ve used the chat and opened e-mail tickets in the Help Center. I’m unclear about exactly how you’ve attempted to contact Wyze based on your posts here.

I do see in your initial post that you mentioned the app prompting you to sign up for a Cam Plus trial, and I believe that’s essentially what the service is with this Costco deal. If you did that, then does your account show the correct renewal date (six months from whenever you activated the trial)? I’ve experienced problems like that in the past where the wrong time period was applied to a trial.

No resolution yet and customer service is not that useful. You can’t reach them via phone and it is a long wait. Email communication goes again from the begging saying do this do that. I am just puzzled with the customer service.
