Wyze Thermostat setup/ AC only system

Hello Wyze Community, Just need some assistance setting up my new Wyze thermostat.
-A/C only system (Outside Condenser Unit/Blower Ceiling)

  • Wires Available Y,W,G,R
  • We live in an apartment (no access to the control board)

We’ve used a sensi Thermostat before (Battery powered) and the unit works fine. I recently upgraded to Wyze. I also bought 24v power adapter

I connected Y to Y1, R to Rh, W to W1, G to G, C to Power Adapter, Rc to power Adapter…
Wyze Thermostat turns on (Wyze logo on the display) BUT AC does not work (Turned on the breaker)
I dont have access to a control board to hook up the C-Wire Adapter (I’m not sure if I need that anyway)
Can anyone help me with the proper wiring? OR I just need to return the wyze unit?

Can you post a photo of the wiring for your Sensi thermostat?

When you went through the Wyze App setup did it tell you to connect R to Rh?

I have furnace + AC and in my setup R is connected to Rc.

You’ll have to common the 2 R’s together on the Rc terminal or use isolation relays to switch Y and G. Do you have a multimeter? One side of the adapter should have nearly 0v difference between it and R from your heating system.
