I’ve been running my Wyze Thermostat since 02/23/2021, I noticed recently that It stopped controlling the fan. The compressor will run and distribute cold air but when it reaches the desired temperature it shuts the compressor off but the fan keeps going.
I’ve checked the energy savings mode, coast to cool, fan run time minimum (set to 0), I’ve checked the wiring, factory reset a few times and it will not stop.
The only thing I haven’t done is Swap the Y1 and G because Y1’s current wiring is successfully controlling the compressor on and off. Any suggestions?
Usually an interior fan that wont turn off is a sign of a tripped limit switch.
To determine if the thermostat is the problem, disconnect the G wire and if the fan starts up, then it is a tripped limit switch and not a faulty thermostat.
You should be able to just push the tab down and pull on the wire to unplug it. just tuck the wire in the hole behind the mount so that it doesn’t make contact with anything else when you plug the thermostat back in
