As of 8/5/26 still no firmware update on my solar cam pan, help me understand why this is taking so long!
When they say this:
It usually means they release the firmware to a percentage of different people each week until they hit 100%. So for example, maybe week 1 they start with 10% of users get approved for it. Then week 2 if everything seems to be going reasonably well, they go up to 30% of users get whitelisted for the firmware update. Then week 3 they make l may go to to 65% and week 4 pushes availability to 100% of people. Of any of the initial weeks shows that there is an unexpected issue, they will pause the update and investigate further.
So you not seeing it yet usually just means you may be in one of the later groups and don’t get access within the first couple of weeks. When they do this, I’ve been in the first group and I’ve been in the last group. Honestly, being in the last group is generally better/safer. It means everyone else who got it first has shown the updates are working well in general before you get them.
