My wyze sense showed up today. I installed them in a few minutes and have been incredibly impressed so far. One thing I had to do was install the sensor facing up on one door due to the trim should this work long term or will it cause a issue?
No, it will not create a problem. The smaller part of the sensor is just plastic with a magnet in it. The larger (electronic part) detects the magnetic field between the two parts.

I installed the second wyze Sense optical sensor today. Linked up fine, but was not showing events… when I checked the app, it showed battery low. I took out the battery and put it back in. Works just fine now…
