OK I created this post, To help others who have difficulty with the sense hub. I’ve been playing around with the software when I was having issues myself and it couldn’t arm.
So if you’re not aware, Sometimes when we’re not home, The device may reboot by itself, Or if I need to reset it due to a firmware update, Then the device essentially will get stuck and will not arm.
For a while I wasn’t sure what the issue was, So I would just repeatedly reset it until I can arm it. But then I realized that when you initially buy the device and turn it on for the first time, It will automatically enter test mode as part of the tutorial procedure.
Their software essentially doesn’t really have any troubleshooting routines that you can activate, So I thought as a troubleshooting procedure why not just enter test mode to see if the alarm is working or not. Test mode can be confusing. So I just switched it off. and then once I had exited test mode, The alarm system could be activated again.
I am a technology guru. I could tell you that I know exactly what’s going on with the software. When the device resets or reboots, And it will not arm, I am 100% positive that it gets stuck in some kind of mode similar to test mode. So in order to fix it you have to switch to test mode and then turn off test mode. And then it becomes functional again.
I have been able this theory flawlessly with repeatable results. this has become part of my normal troubleshooting procedures with my devices.
I hope people find this post and are able to resolve their issues.
Support did not help me to do this and the customer service is very bad. Luckily I have the expertise to resolve my own issues.
