Is there any way to do MAC address cloning on the Wyze Pro? I’m trying to do away with my ATT BGW-500 and plug my Ethernet cable from the ONT directly into the Wyze pro. Plugging it in directly right now keeps the red light on Wyze pro, thus I be;ieve I need to clone the BGW-500 MAC address.

Did you put the AT&T gateway into IP Passthrough mode? In the Web UI (typically at https://192.168.1.254/), you should be able to navigate to Firewall ➜ IP Passthrough and enable that. This is how I’m using a non-Wyze router behind my BGW320-505, and my previous AT&T gateway (pre-fiber) had essentially the same UI. This is how I set mine:
- Allocation Mode: Passthrough
- Passthrough Mode: DHCPS-fixed
- Passthrough Fixed MAC Address: [selected from list because only the router is connected via Ethernet]
Also, at Home Network ➜ Wi-Fi ➜ Advanced Options I turned off both radios:
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Configuration ➜ Wi-Fi Operation: Off
- 5 GHz Wi-Fi Configuration ➜ Wi-Fi Operation: Off
That allows me to use my own router (and EasyMesh satellites) for Wi-Fi. No MAC cloning was needed.
Yeah, this is pretty much the set up I’ve been running for a few years. I’m trying to get rid of the BGW bottleneck, even with pass through I’m having significantly slower speeds. I just ordered a bunch of Ubiquiti gear and I’m kicking Wyze to the curb.
