I know it’s such an annoyance, like when Amazon’s site puked yesterday. Or who can forget the great server crash of ‘19 for Google when Google Maps disappeared for a million or so users. It is a shame that these companies are so inexperienced they can’t keep a website running. How about last week when Apple lost connectivity to half the planet? Oh well someday when they all grow up I guess.
Hi, I would like to know if the Early Access Plug comes with Energy Monitor, and if not, when will be one available. No matter what, the reason I’m on early access is the possibility that comes with sensors in addition to the Assistant and IFTTT.
No, simple “on/off”. No energy monitoring.
Not sure what you can expect from a very affordable plug?
We don’t have a plan in place right now for adding energy monitoring later.
Thanks for answering the rest of the question, @Wellcraft19!
@Wellcraft19 yes, the price is something affordable, but there are a few others things that I would pay the extra, I have buy kasa and wemo, I really prefer kasa, but thanks to the sensor integration, I would replace all plugs If I get the 3 (Assistant, IFTTT and Sensor). if I can get the sensor too, for example, with the sense integration (sense.com), that they will consider, if the plug has Energy Monitor, I can automate some task.
Ok, I will wait, while there are not other plug that have sensor integration.
Yeah, I get that. There are TONs of plugs out there, in various price ranges and capacities, but a basic (hopefully) trusted plug for under $10 (shipped and taxed) is a pretty good deal - and if it allows me to control 2X devices instead of X thanks to a lower cost, I’m all for it.
Thanks @UserCustomerGwen
Support for 220V please… and also an alternative type/form as Wyze Switch/Relay for permanent type of installations.
You’re welcome, @nswint!
