On the Wyze lock page it mentions the lock gateway is needed to connect the lock to wifi.
I setup the lock and gateway and everything worked. I then disconnected the gateway and it seems like everything still works.
When I say “everything” I can still lock and unlock from my phone. So that has to mean the lock has internet connectivity despite the gateway not being on.
What am I misunderstanding here?
