After hearing the Wyze lock batteries only last a few months it had me thinking about the clocks I have in my Kitchen and bathroom. They have solar panels on them and in the several years I’ve had them I’ve never had to charge the batter. Sunlight and even light from my kitchen lights and bathroom light charge it.
So why not have a Solar Panel Attachment for the Wyze Lock. You can still go to the bottom or top of the lock and lay flat against the door. I wouldn’t think it would need to be very large maybe a few inches. It’s not like you’re going to be opening and closing the door constantly. So it only needs to generate enough power just above the wireless features to charge the battery for the motor to work the few times a day it would be used.
