I bought the lightswitch thinking it was like the alexa ones but unfortunately its only functions are off and on. Will there ever be a dimmer switch model? Otherwise ill buy an alexa model.

Please vote on this wishlist request to let Wyze know you want a dimmer.

Agree dedicated dimming would be nice. Wondering if you can program to fire a rule when you “two tap” the switch or “three tap”? On two-tap 50% bright. On 3-tap 100% bright.

You can set them that eay already… what is needed is a feature in the bulb that will allow the light to brighten or dim in defined incremntd. Like double tap once light brightens 10% double tabe twice light brightens by 10 percent so on and so forth
Unfortunately that is for a switch plus motion sensor. We need Wyze to make a smart switch with a dimmer feature. Smart bulbs are not an option with these fixtures. Nor do I want to have to do Morse code to get a certain set brightness.
Is there a feature request to vote only for a switch with just a dimmer? Thanks!
I don’t think a separate Wishlist topic requesting only a dimmer switch currently exists (at least I haven’t found one), but if you read through that linked topic you’ll see that several of the comments are requesting only the dimmer feature and not the motion sensor. I see that another of your comments was moved into that topic, and that seems relevant.

Hi! I saw my comment got moved to the one requesting a motion sensor too… That’s not what I am asking for and is a much more complicated request. I would love to see just a dimmer switch…like a switch v2 with dimmer
Right, that’s what I’m saying. I’m not aware of a current Wishlist topic requesting only a dimmer feature on Wyze Switch, but in the topic requesting a dimmer switch and motion sensor, several of the comments are asking for the dimmer only, not the motion sensor at all.
There’s another topic asking for a 3-way dimmer with even more features (including motion sensor), but I haven’t seen movement on that one, either. Personally, I’d like to see updated versions of both the Switch and the Plug.

Why not get an Alexa/Google and setup a verbal routine that uses the keyword “dinner”? Much faster and more convenient than a switch.
I’m old enough to appreciate analog (I’m 50) but also, if you have a smart switch for lights, wouldn’t you be more inclined to use your voice?
Not necessarily. Some of us don’t have or want those devices. Plus many new light fixtures come with built in LED. You can’t use a smart bulb. In addition to that, sometimes you just want to control the light at the switch. This is a basic function of almost every other competititor, Wyze needs to update their switch.
I believe if we got the switch with dimmer requests into the proper place, there would be way more votes for it.
Also, the switch does not support any dimming right now, so even if you try to use voice, it doesn’t work.
I was assuming you had a smart bulb on the light.
Why not change the light? Then it can be all kinds of colors?
