It seems to be related to the pressure sensor that normally detects when I take the device off my head to pause them. When pressure is detected, the right ear(or else the one with power buttons) emits a warbling which crescends into a screech. Makes the headphones unusable.
Why is this happening? How do I fix it?
I woulddd check for a firmware update, but the app consistently fails to connect to my headphones(and I already tried forgetting and repairing).

What did Support say when you contacted them about the issue?
I haven’t experienced this particular issue with my headphones, but since you mentioned wondering about a firmware update, you can see that the most recent update was in November 2021, and the app should tell you if the headphones are up to date if you navigate to Account ➜ Firmware Update. For something like this, though, I’d be inclined to open a ticket.
