Maybe dog and gun are the FIRST security measures for some. I mean, if you grew up with dogs and guns, it seems likely.
So gun would be at the ‘far end of the security spectrum’, but the fundamental end, not the extreme.
If that’s so, then a non-pro ‘security system’ is not expected to protect you (that’s still on the individual) just spook the nuisance amateurs and give you an edge, an early alert, that engagement may be needed beyond that.
So say I.

Here is a quote from one of their promotional emails I received concerning Mother’s Day…
“Wyze Air Purifier sold out faster than Twitter’s Board of Directors.”
Clearly they are against Elon promoting free speech and ending the shadow banning / censorship / cancel culture at Twitter. Equally clear that management signed off on this tone to mass-mail the general customer base. Political speech permitted one way in the form of marketing emails but not bi-directionally in the forums. Narrative controls like that betray ignorance, intolerance, immaturity, defensive insecurity, and a weak starting point position…

I would like to add an age related observation I experienced opening fingerprint access devices. I noticed that starting around 65 years of age the skin on the tips of my fingers has become less resilient. What I mean by that is if doing something with my fingers that deform the skin covering their tips, the skin will not quickly rebound upon cessation of the activity. Even some sleeping positions may distort finger tip skin enough to hinder fingerprint recognition by a device.
When I am denied fingerprint access I immediately go to the button press sequence. I have also restricted myself to a single-finger-only sequence, with no two fingers pressing two buttons at a time. This is because, under duress, my two buttons at once timing has failed me in the past because of erosion of my sense of timing.
I will make it short. The setup went quickly and it works.
What were they thinking adding a little chirp or bell when the safe is opened? If I have to open this safe in a context of an intruder do I want to make any extra noise? Isn’t the rule of the hunter or hunted to not make noise?
There are other design issue: more holes for additional securing and the padding is too thin.
I will glue an Apple Air Pod under the padding or add additional padding on the lip and add a Air Pod under it.
