Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell Firmware - Released 2/27/2025

Let me make it clear, the he beta firmware is not an issue here at all nor was the cause of the issues. Matter of fact, beta firmware was only installed in its latest March release in hopes to have the issues experienced corrected.

All experienced issues started with the release of official final firmware release back in January of 2025.

This is what you posted and what I’m talking about. Of course a beta is no good, otherwise it won’t be a beta.

As for the original question, I have the current firmware, 1.0.24.23 and I don’t see any problem, unlike the previous version.

You want to tell me that you do have 3 seconds of recorded video prior to the motion detection event occured?

Not my use case for the Duo. It’s not hard-wired and I’m saving the battery. I have 2(!) other cameras recording the way to the Duo.

It works the way I need to work.

Well it doesn’t work me.

Another observation, when camera is live viewed and the motion event occurs eg: a person walking by, the event is not being marked as occurred and no recording is made and sent to cloud to accessible for 14 days. The sd card continued recording remains as the only evidence of an event occurrence.
