I’ve followed all instructions for installing my camera, however, no matter what I do, I cannot get the device to stay connected to WiFi. When I first set it up, it worked for about a day, then went to permanently flashing orange unless I left my front door open (storm door still shut) for about 15 minutes, then it could get it to reconnect and show 2 bars of signal strength. I figured that the connection must not be strong enough, even though it would show 2 bars for signal when it was connected, but I decided to move a WiFi 6 access point as physically close to the door as possible to see it I could get it to stay connected. The best I could do was to put the access point beneath the floor from the basement, just below where the doorbell is located. A total of about 6 feet away, albeit with a floor and door still in the way. I also gave the access point a dedicated 2.4 ghz SSID with it’s purpose to be dedicated to the wyze doorbell. And still, I can not get the camera to stay connected with the door shut. I was able to check if it was still connected, but not working, by going to the device list for the access point and confirming that there was no Wyze device listed, which ruled that out. I have trouble believing that it is that sensitive, I connected to the new 2.4 ghz SSID with my phone, and I was able to walk over 100 meters away from the front of the house and still remain connected to the WiFi network, but a camera 6 feet away. Has anyone else found a reasonable solution to this?

[image] Crease: re version from January because of the reported issues with notifications in later firmware versions, but I don’t know if that’s germane to this issue. Got it, we are just suspecting some potential causes. Need to investigate deeper.

Yeah, I mentioned that because, although I don’t expect an update that delivers enhancements to cause other problems, I’m aware that sometimes these things do have unintended consequences, and I wanted to be clear about my experience. Thank you for taking the time to chime in with an update!

[image] WyzeDongsheng: Do you have MicroSD card that set to continuous recording, if you are having the frequent offline issue. I do have the MicroSD card set to continuous recording; however, I cannot see who is at my front door when the doorbell is rung. Thank you.

I used to have the disconnecting problem with the Doorbell V2. It went away with maybe the 4.51.1.8444 (January 24, 2024) or 4.51.1.9341 (April 8, 2024) update. The disconnecting problem returned with the 4.51.1.9807 (May 13, 2024) update. I have more devices in my home requesting WiFi than I have addresses. This is why I suspect that my WiFi sheds the doorbell. As soon as I cycle power with the doorbell, it will immediately reconnect to the WiFi. Hope this helps. Thank you.

I just wish I would get consistent notifications on door bell presses.

I’m having the issue and I DO have an SD card. Wyze sent me a replacement doorbell and I installed it yesterday. It didn’t even last 24 hours before it went off line. Is there an issue with the SD card reader that’s causing it to go offline??? I have a 128 gb card in there. I know for a fact it’s not the WiFi because I had to install a backup camera on my porch because the doorbell kept going off line. I also have a Wyze camera in my detached garage that’s across the property. Both of those cameras have zero issues. It has to be the DB2 firmware as this only started happening a month ago. Prior to that my original camera was fine for 4 months.

May is the same timeframe when my issues started.

I reset my camera, deleted it from the app and then added again without the SD card. Even if it’s a hunch, I’m desperate right now.

Update: I see that Wyze has a new firmware update as of 29 July however my doorbell shows that it’s up to date with the 14 July update and will not take the 29 July update. Thank you

[image] jwr.618: will not take the 29 July update Are you even seeing it available in the app? When I navigate to Settings ➜ Device Info ➜ Firmware Version, the app is just showing me the ability to update from 4.51.1.8444 to 4.51.2.0379, as I mentioned in another topic, even though the announcement topic and the Release Notes & Firmware page indicate that 4.51.2.0578 should be available. I wonder if there was a problem posting the update, because I haven’t yet read any reports of anyone’s experience with this latest firmware.
