Wyze Cam v4 beta firmware - Released 11/6/2025

Thanks for your reply! Good to hear this is not an intended outcome of the update. Earlier today I pinged the dev also. Just posting to the thread as an fyi to the community and folks searching the error.

Also, agreed beta software should not be used in mission critical production environments. Good thing this is not mission critical. Just difficult to access. And still works well with the wyze app, just not the fire stick on the tv via tiny cam.

Are you sure?
Before this update, it was working with the Wyze Bridge vrom BMS231

https://hub.docker.com/r/bms231/wyze-bridge

But after the firmware update, we are getting IOTC error 13

Where do you find the old firmware file to flash it back? I’m so mad at myself for buying the v4.

Welcome to the Forum, @bhhswatercity!

The Release Notes & Firmware page has download links, and the Help Center has an article about flashing. Please be aware of two items in that article:

  1. Heed the recommendation to use a FAT32-formatted microSD card (32 GB or smaller) if you want to avoid some potential frustration.
  2. Understand that the references to “folder” (like in steps 5 and 10) are incorrect and that you should copy the relevant .bin file to the root directory of your microSD card for this process (and then subsequently delete it following a successful flash).

Shoot, there aren’t links for pan cam v4, where can I find the one I need?

I wondered if that’s what you meant instead of (non-Pan) Cam v4 when I noticed your post in a different topic. I haven’t yet seen any separately downloadable firmware for Cam Pan v4, though I’d like to, and I have no idea if/when those might be forthcoming. Hopefully @WyzeJasonJ can provide some input at some point.
