Wyze Cam v3 - Person detection + RTSP

I have 4 Wyze Cam v3. Out of them 2 have RTSP firmware (4.61.0.3) and 2 have Wyze auto-update firmware. Cameras with RTSP firmware are not doing person detection but able to view locally over RTSP protocol. I have tried rebooting and resetting with the RTSP firmware, but issue remains the same. I have heard that RTSP firmware is not recommended by Wyze and may hinder camera functionality. Just wanted to check with the community to see if anyone had any luck with this or have any recommendations.

Also please let me know how do you achieve RTSP feature + full Wyze functionality.

The RTSP firmware is very old, and hasn’t been getting updates for a very long time. I’m surprised it still works at all, with all the changes wyze has been making with the app and firmware.

Because RTSP is not supported anymore, features such as person detection may or may not work, and wyze has said that they do not plan on continuing support.

Many users have had success using the community project “Wyze Docker Bridge”. This uses the production wyze firmware, but requires a server such as a raspberry pi or old laptop to host the RTSP
