Wyze Cam Pan 3

I have had issues with three of these cameras. I have 9 cameras total, and have tossed out some that just were outdated and needed replacing. Upon scanning this forum, there is an obvious defect in the Pan 3 camera. Wyze should replace them at no charge to the customers who are stuck with them. We bought them in good faith; man up and earn our loyalty.

If their out of warranty wyze won’t care, wyze is a shady company peddling cameras others make (OEM) then TRY to make them work with their Firmware/Software.

They just can’t seem to ever get it working bug free, that’s why there is always updates :neutral_face:

My other brand cams have seen 2 updates in 3 years, and they work flawlessly :grin:

What issues did they have? Are they outside and if so, are they mounted with the cam on top or bottom?

I have two Panv3s that have been going continuous for over 2 years, so far the only issue I had was water getting into the one I had mounted upside down. That was fixed by putting it in a bag of rice for 2 days. The replacement is mounted right side up. Seems if you want to mount it upside down you need some sort of cover for it (there are ones on amazon and people have made their own).

Also make sure you have a drip loop in the power cable, especially if upside down.

One is outdoors, upside down. The other two are indoors looking through a window. Everything works fine except for the sd card issues.

Oops…afterthought. The issue is in one of the indoor ones

I have tried different brands of SD cards, different sizes, different formatting methods including 3rd party SD Card formatting programs, nothing has worked!! The camera refuses to recognize the card. I tried the cleaning method a forum member suggested and of course that didn’t work! Very aggravating!! My Pan Cam v3 is only about a year old. My other 2 non-Pan Cams work just fine, they detect and record to the SD Card with no issue, and they are a couple of years old!! If you ask me I would say that Wyze sent us a firmware update that caused these cameras to not work as they should “Purposely”, so that we would buy more of their Crappy Pan Cams!! I know there are a lot of diehard wyze fans on this forum that won’t agree with my conclusion, hey they gotta make that money one way or another to stay in business, but that’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it!! WYZE…FIX THIS ISSUE OR YOU WILL BE LOSING A LOT OF CUSTOMERS!! Btw I also subscribe to their Cam Plus service.

I went right back and bought two more cameras a few days back. The two that I replaced were working fine but they were wyze cam 2 and the night vision was crappy at best. I replaced them with 4’s. I am extremely satisfied with all of the other cans that I e owner o er the years, I know they are inexpensive and replaceable. But the Pan3’s are junk. I’ll probably keep buying wyze cams in the future unless someone else offers something better and cheaper, but you could t give me another Pan3. I’m trashing all of mine and replacing with the plain, non moving models. At least they work.
