I have 2 cameras. Both pictures were clear until very recently. Now one camera is producing very blurry pictures. I cleaned the lens of the blurry camera thoroughly with lens cleaner but it has not helped. Thoughts?
The following is an attempt to upload comparative photos, taken seconds apart on an overcast but dry day.
I have one that looks like that fuzzy one but only when it is cool and moist outdoors. My cam is sitting on the ground and it clears up when it is warmer. Is there moisture inside the lens or does it clear up at all if you put it inside for a while?
Not long after my original post here the camera showed as offline. I brought the camera indoors and charged it with no apparent problem (blinking red light to solid red). Now the camera won’t turn on. I have power cycled it several times (turning it off, waiting 30 secs or more then turning on) but I get no lights and the Wyze app shows the camera as offline. Strangely, the app also shows the battery last full charge as “today”. How can it know that? Any idea what the expected life of these cameras is? This one was first activated in June 2021.
I would just turn it on, put it close to the base station and push the little pairing button on the bottom of the cam and see it i=will come back online, light showing or not. Or plug it back in to power and push the pairing button and see if will come back on linen. Expected life is hard to tell, some users cams drop dead in a year or two.
All four of my WCO v1 cams still work, they were put in service 4 November 2020.
Judging by the posted pictures looks like moisture has found its way into the lens and I am suspecting elsewhere and fried some of the camera’s electronics.
