Why is the cam outdoor always sold out on wyze website, yet always available on the amazon wyze store for way higher price? 
The Battery Cam Pro is available in White and Black. This camera does not require a Base Station and will connect directly to your WiFi. In my opinion, this is a much better camera and a bit more versatile with the ability to remove the battery. I have a few of these, and purchased extra batteries, then there is no downtime as I always have a battery ready to go.

The wyze website makes it clear that it is obsolete/discontinued and has been replaced by the battery cam pro as @spamoni suggested. My guess is Amazon still has some stock of the old one and is happy to sell it off. Wyze also uses Amazon to send warranty replacements so will probably keep some there until the last one goes out of warranty.
Amazon takes a cut and also charges Wyze for shipping (which you’d otherwise pay directly to Wyze if you bought from them) hence the higher prices there. Funny thing is even if you buy direct from Wyze, they often still come from Amazon, I’m guessing just having amazon fulfillment without the whole purchase going through them is probably cheaper.
