Well, this would be generally for any security camera. Is there any hardware available that can enhance the visual capabilities of a security camera?
For example, we have fisheye lenses for cellphones that we can attach and perhaps some attachments to increase the zooming capabilities too.
So was wondering if there are any attachments that can be used on Wyze cams to enhance their capabilities to capture better video and photos?
My purpose with Wyze Cam is just to do skywatching and stargazing. I know now that this camera may not be capable enough for stargazing at night time but any attachments (lenses) that can be hooked to it in order to better it’s capabilities?
It is not what it’s catching the problem, it’s the post “production” of the footage that gets compressed to be able to get streamed through 2.4 GHz bandwidth. Do you have SD car installed in the camera? The footage might be slightly better there but not by much.
Wyze released the Bird Feeder’s Close-Up Lens for separate sale earlier this year, and that’s the first thing that comes to mind regarding a camera attachment that affects image capture, but it’s probably not what you want for stargazing. YouTube is one source for information about more permanant (warranty-voiding) modification, and you can probably find other examples by using the Forum’s search facility.
