How do you know when Cam+ is active? I activated my newest Cam V3 camera today in Wyze Home Monitoring Service, but the setup on my phone appears the same. I’m not sure if it’s active or not. Is there an easy way to tell? Thanks!
@denhearn Welcome to the forums! Look under your account in the Wyze app.
Steps to activate cam plus, tap Account > Services > Cam Plus > Edit > Available Devices
Under Services you should see Cam Plus. Tap on it, the available paid license should appear under Cam Plus.
Tick the box for the desired cam, tap activate. To deactivate a cam, Uncheck the box for the desired cam, tap activate.
That has not worked for me since my cam is on the trial version. I went to edit the driveway cam by removing the check from the box but that cam does not show up in list of available devices after I do that, I have tried about 6 times. I have the license available I just can’t apply it.
Strange…have you tried doing a power cycle on that camera after you remove the trial to see if it will show up. If not, I would give that a try.
No I haven’t tried that yet but I will after the trial period expires in 8 more days. The V3 camera is working ok except it can’t notify me of a truck/car with AI but it does notify of me people.
Thanks for the reply. I am puzzled by what I see here tho.
I did go through the process that you gave me, but under Cam Plus (on my phone) it states “free trial ends on (date)”. The date is 2 weeks after activation. (the free trial) So I’m not sure if I activated the 1 year Cam Plus package that I bought.
But even further, I do not see anything under ‘Settings’ that makes me think I have the Plus package running. How do you know that you are running the Cam Plus?
Thanks in advance! I’m new to the Cam Plus, so I may be missing something simple.
Dennis
Working on this a bit more, I see the Cam Plus subscription that I am activating is the 2-week TRIAL. And that my new Cam V3 is not listed under the Cam Plus “Annual” License. I do see 2 of my Wyze Cams there. (although I have 3 other Wyze Cams) I did a power reset on the Cam with no help.
@denhearn Sorry for all the trouble. Something may have changed that I’m not aware of so I recommend contacting Wyze customer support. They can take care of this for you.

I just activated Cam+ licenses and encountered these same issues. Here’s what works. Clicking those Redeem buttons in the redeem email isn’t enough.
Clicking the “Redeem” button opens a browser tab. You have to select the “Redeem” tab at the top of the browser page.
Then paste the redemption codes from the email in the box, and press “Apply”.
Typical Wyze. They could have automated these steps with the “Redeem” button.
Did you still have to enter credit card data after you entered the code? If so did you verify Wyze didn’t charge anything to your card?
Thank you
After 8 days of dealing with trying to remove the trial version of + and adding the cam plus license to my V3 I finally got it done. I would rather try to pull the teeth out of a gators mouth than go through it again. I did get a lot of help from support on ticket #1029425.
No, it didn’t even ask.
I previously pressed the wrong buttons and I saw the part where it thought I was ordering new Cam+ accounts. That’s probably what you encountered.
My trial Cam Plus ended & I applied the code Wyze sent me. When I hit submit it goes to a page with a Zero balance hit next & it goes to a page that wants a credit card information. Why do I need to submit a credit card to get my free year? I am guessing the Cam Plus has an auto-renewal on it. What do I do to get just the free year I bought with my camera.
Mike
You have to switch to the redeem tab on the page. See this earlier post of mine:
Yeah, it works but Wyze needs a better checkout procedure. You have to enter the CC info and click Submit, however Wyze WILL NOT charge you a second time. At least that is what I did, but only after several attempts with Support trying to get another solution. They do put your CC info on file and will auto-renew Cam+ unless you cancel prior to the renewal date. Just hold your nose and click Submit.
I tried what you said & it did not work. Below are snips of each step. I used the redeem button on the top of the page.
They must have changed something in the page.
Ipil60R34s never did work for me either. I think you have to enter your CC info. At least this is what Support told me (several times). I did that and they did not charge me.
