Wyze Band+Alexa is now only Alexa Alerts

I have never gotten the Wyze Band’s Alexa to work with my Hue Lights or my Harmony Smart Remote, and it has been six weeks and support has gone radio silent. But now I cannot use Alexa at all. In place of the Alexa option where you tap to ask a question, I now only see “Alexa Alerts” which only allows reminders. What is going on?

If you hold down the small white bar at the bottom of the display, Alexa will display “Please wait” > “listening,” > and then “thinking” after you speak to her.

Thanks. I realised I had confused the Alerts and the Alexa request functions. Now if I could just get it to work with the Hue ang Harmony remote
