Wyze app hotfix - Released 9/8/2025

Are your V3 cams using CP Lite?

Yes they are.

The playback moved from semi- to fully-automated last update, I think.

Now, if the Timeline cursor hits a big blank space (no Events) it continues to the next Event no matter the time gap between them.

Is that a good thing? Personally, I don’t use monitoring tab.

I seldom use the Monitoring tab, and I’ve never used its timeline. I just tried its timeline. Seems useful. Wyze should implement the same for individual camera timelines, too.

I used to complain that the old arrows on camera timelines disappeared. The functionality is the same here.

Oh yeah, it’s getting pretty polished. When an Event is displaying you can tap the cam icon overlaid on the image and it takes you to the Live View page. If the cam has the new UI, you can manually select from the Recent Events to view the source Event full size.

I’m hoping they’re stepping toward displaying the source Event full size automatically – no need to manually select.

It seems like Wyze switched back to the new UI for Cam V3 today for me on both iOS app 3.7.6.2 and Android app 3.7.6.699.

You lose out the nightvision toggle on the livescreen on the new UI.

At least they fixed the notification menu bugged when trying to access Camera Settings > Notifications > Manage Events.

Wow. That was a big feature drop for someone with cam v3s and the old UI. Ambitious. Impressive.

I explored for an hour or so and it feels solid. I’ll use it for a while before saying any more.

Oh, the Enable Hardware Decoder toggle was added to the Advanced Settings page, that was a pleasant surprise. :+1:

Thanks for the heads up @grapefruityoda

Thanks for tagging me. It must’ve been a backend change as I don’t have automatic updates enabled. Personally I don’t mind the new UI. I’ll miss the night vision ā€œtoggleā€ but I can leave without it.
