I’ve been locked out for a couple of weeks and couldn’t work out what was going on. Uninstall of the app and reinstall didn’t work.
The timing for me seemed to be related to turning on MFA but as I could no longer login with the app on my phone as the MFA prompt was just not showing up I was screwed
Yesterday I borrowed my wife’s phone and that allowed me in.
This morning I found this thread.
S21 Ultra here using Edge as my default browser.
I selected settings/search for internet and then choose the Apps/Internet option.
I changed the browser to google chrome.
Opened Wyze and was able to log in successfully.
Logged out of Wyze.
Switched browser back to Edge.
Now launched Edge. After entering username and password I was then offered the choice to Stay in Edge or open external App.
Selected Open External App and now able to get back into Wyze as normal.
Shop module, because if I tap on that my experience as a user is that I’m still navigating within the app instead of causing the app to launch an external browser. I wonder if there’s a technical limitation with WebView and Wyze’s login process that doesn’t allow for this or if the decision to have the Wyze app call the system’s default browser was made on some other basis. (I’m just thinking out loud as a non-developer.)
