Latest update in case anyone was wondering.
I had several instances of the Wyze app using up a lot of battery in the background even though it shouldn’t be as I don’t have background enabled, etc. However for the last a little over a month, I haven’t had any issues. I upgraded to the lastest (at the time) iOS (26.7) when it came out and still no issues. I just upgraded to 26.7.1 today and will wait for at least a week before upgrading the Wyze app which I have not upgraded. I want to change one thing at a time. I am still at v3 21.1 (2).
I finally updated to v3.23.2.(1) today on my iPhone13 which is still running 26.7.1. We will see how it goes.
I did not check if the Wyze app had used a lot of my battery before upgrading and should should have. It has used 7h and 27m of background activity today. I did notice that after I upgraded today the background refresh was enabled for the Wyze app. I have just disabled it. I do not know if it was enabled before the upgrade. I will monitor it for the next few days.

Maybe you should just ask Apple what they think the issue is or throw your phone against the wall.
