Looks like the new descriptive alert event viewer went away. Probably needed a tune up.

Excellent!

the Livestream issue affected my V2’s and V3’s, but not the OG’s

I had noticed there is no mention of V2’s

:+1:

I look forward to updating

This did not fix the problem

Hot Dang! Looks like this fixed my tablet crashing issue. More time will tell.

Did not fix the issue, I only realized that this patch was released over a week ago

So I already had it installed, and was still experiencing the issue.

Overall there is no doubt, something has changed with the Wyze App. as all my Cam 3’s and Cam 2’s are loading much slower in /when trying to load live view, and the only way I was able to load “live view” was to disable “Enable Hardware Decoder” on the V3’s.

Viewing the cams under “Monitoring” is very slow,

And this wasn’t the case, over the last few months, / years.

Something has changed in the Wyze app

Settings screen is showing “under” the status bar on Android

Pixel 9xl PRO.

App version 3.8.1.718.

You can’t save settings…specifically after changing detection zone.

[Mod Note]: Your topic and replies were merged to this Wyze app version announcement topic for better visibility to Wyze.

Is that perhaps an Android 16 issue, at least in part? I may have seen some other UI quirks related to newer Wyze apps on that version of the OS.

If you haven’t already done so, then I’d be inclined to log this and open a ticket with Wyze Support that includes the Log ID, and that’s something (the Log ID and the report of the issue) that seems like it would be good to share in the announcement topic for the app version you’re reporting.

I’m seeing the same and also some app button accessibility issues at the bottom of some pages. I noticed this issue after updating some devices to Android 16 and was running the previous version of the Wyze app. I’ll try to capture some screenshots and send some logs for some other affected Wyze app pages later today.

Now that I think about this a little more, I believe @Bam might have mentioned seeing something like this, though I don’t know with certainty that he’s using Android 16.

I did although that was one of those special test cases I and a few others were a part of, not a wide spread thing, I have not yet seen this detection zone save button issue,

As we all know there have been a multitude of different layouts for different cameras throughout the years and it’s something that sadly we’re still dealing with, i’m wondering what camera you’re having this issue with as I’ve looked at a couple of mine and the save button on Android 16 appears to be accessible and OK for me. I’m wondering if this isn’t a camera layout issue versus the app as a whole.

Thanks for this confirmation piece. I wasn’t sure if you were using Android 16, and that seems to be a common thread in what I’ve observed so far.

Yeah I would really like to know what camera it is and see if it’s not an individual layout thing. I have only checked my pan cameras V3 and V4 currently but I was gonna look at a few more

If you have a Bulb Cam, check Bulb Settings and Ambient Light pages under Android 16 using Android app 3.8.1.718. Bottom of pages are inaccessible (yep, I have the same Costco doormats as you :joy:):

Well played Sir the bottom cut off was what I was seeing when I had noticed it and tried to make them aware. CS this does look more like a possible layout thing related to Android 16. And the fact that you recognized those doormats LOL that is too funny!
