Maybe I should be posting (or cross-posting) to Frog Lick 👅 Cinema!, but I saw A Man Called Otto this week and enjoyed that. While I was watching it, I couldn’t help wondering if it was a remake, because the names in the opening credits and the way the film unfolded reminded me of Cold Pursuit, which I learned after watching that was a remake of In Order of Disappearance. I then found and watched the original Norwegian film on Kanopy because I like Stellan Skarsgård, and I learned after watching this most recent film that the Hanks movie is based on a Swedish film, A Man Called Ove, which is also available on Kanopy.
