Windows PC app

I know this has been discussed multiple times. Has there been any progress on developing a Windows PC app… i lnow there is live view. But would love a fully functional app on Windows to have total control of all the cameras and settings. Also create another drop choice under platform when creating a post … easier for members to find posts related.

Windows PC app progress please.

Pretty sure the Live View browser solution is it for everyone. It costs too much to maintain apps for multiple platforms, so they have gone with the browser solution.

Sadly, Windows is completely irrelevant in the digital lifestyle realm these days.
Don’t hold your breath as I don’t think it will ever happen.

Wyze is likely to invest in a web-based offering before even thinking making a native Windows app.
It’s all mobile or web nowadays.

Reolink has a windows based client and continues to update it.
I much prefer Reolink’s Windows client to using the combination of Wyze’s Live web page (Edge browser) and their smart phone app.
App & Client - Reolink

Because of Reolink’s Windows client I bought a Reolink as my third camera, the battery Argus Eco Ultra. I use a Wyze OG for my front yard and the Reolink E1 Outdoor Pro for my backyard. The Reolink Argus Eco Ultra is my mobile battery camera to use on different blind spots for temporary coverage.

So does that APP work with the Wyze Camera’s?

No.
I was responding to christiano’s comment about Windows not being relevant.

I agree with you that a Windows client/app is needed for Wyze.
There are still many folks that prefer to use a desktop/laptop instead of a smart phone.
Wyze’s Live on an Edge browser is OK, but would be much better if we could access the App controls and SD card playback.
Although Reolink is more expensive than Wyze all my future camera purchases will be from Reolink because of the Windows client.

I get your point and I’m on your side for this,
But, as a professional developer specialized in Windows & cloud development, I can assure you Windows has no traction anymore in the consumer digital lifestyle.

Without a mobile phone these days, you would not be able to configure most consumer devices - from speakers, to drones, to action cams, to anything else you can think about.

Realistically, Wyze will not invest the time & efforts to offer a native Windows app when they can make an agnostic web client.

Now, is their current offering as good as it could be? Absolutely not,
