That power cord is way too long, the voltage drop is almost certainly going to be a problem. You need to extend an AC outlet to near where the cam is going to be and use a max 15 to 20 foot USB cable. You can also use ethernet with POE and a POE to USB converter.

I’ll have some answers today, I was think the same and the manufacture of the cable is not responding to my question about the voltage drop. I would like to know their thought process on making a cable 50’ intended for the Pan cam and not take the voltage drop into consideration

As I mentioned above, I have a 40’ feeding a v4 and the voltage drops to around 4.8V when the camera is idle. The spotlight works fine on automation buty if I turn it on manually I can’t turn it back off as the camera stops responding. I had a v3 before and same would happen if I activated the siren…

If you’re going to try it, use the most powerful USB adapter you have, 2.4amp or even 3 to 3.2 amp.
