Window Cam

I have the window cam and using the SD card.

  1. How can I change the time line from seconds to minutes?
  2. It displays “2 events” what does that mean
  3. Can I filter to a time
  4. The camera detected motion of a snow plow coming from left to right it detected the snow plow, However when he returned (about 5 minutes later) right to left the camera did not detect truck…what gives

Try placing 2 fingertips in the timeline area and pinch out vertically for more granular time and to expand the “2 events” icon into 2 individual icons. Pinch in for less granular time notation.

I have tried the pinching and I see it expand but when I remove my fingers it goes back to the default time line. I have clicked on the 2 events and the 2 event icon disappears and I have no idea of where the 2 events are. BTW thanks for responding

I don’t have a Window Cam (yet), so I can’t attempt to reproduce your issue. I’ll tag @Mavens to see if one of them can provide assistance.

im not able to replicate it clicking back to the larger view timeline, One thing I did notice was that if you pinch and zoom in on the timeline for the SD card if you’re looking at the right side with the green line it’s very difficult to tell that you’re actually zoomed in whereas if you look at the hash marks on the left side where it tells you the times not the specific time you’re zoomed into but the general times for the SD card You can notice that you have more hash marks the more you’re zoomed in I can say that this view I’m not a fan of and I hope they go with the horizontal SD on this one. But I thought I was replicating your issue only to realize that I was zooming in but it didn’t appear to be changing unless you looked at that left side.

As far as not recognizing the truck, There are many things that could go into that, and if it through snow a certain way and the object detection thought the snow was part of the truck in one view versus the other one it might classify it differently, as well as angles and reflections can play havoc on small things like that.

Based on the “Get x” icon in the screenshot, perhaps the truck returned during a 5-min cooldown period.

I thought about that and searched for the cooldown option and could NOT find it.

not being a battery cam, this camera dosent have a cooldown period, do you happen to be a subscriber to any of the plans?

Nope

so as @seapup pointed out not being a subscriber there is a period of breaks ( we have Colloquially called it a cooldown in the past) Where get a notification but there is a delay until the next notification if you’re not a subscriber. When I think of cooldown I automatically go to the battery cameras which do have a function where you can control the cool down time frame manually in between events. So both what I and @Seapup said are correct and I do apologize if that caused any confusion. just speaking about different cameras and my mind went to battery. If you were to get a subscription for this camera, there would be no break in between recorded events to the cloud, but as you have an SD card there should be no type of cool down or break in between recordings, So on that one if you’re able to navigate the not so user friendly interface there, you should be able to see the truck go both ways. It would only be the cloud events that would be limited.
