Wildlife not triggering events

I originally set up this ‘rig’ to place just outside my sliding glass door to record my coyote pack that wonders through my back yard on the regular, hoping to prove, or disprove that the WCOv2 was actually recording without any cooldown. (I think that is working properly now, but still need to test to satisfy that is indeed the case) Placing the BCPro next to the WCOv2 would hopefully show the two cameras were or were not recording the same thing.

Anyways… back to the subject at hand. I moved the rig down to the bottom of my hill, and placed it on the cement block fence facing the field, the goal being to record anything that occurs at night in that field. (I’d recently watched a documentary that said there were Mountain Lions nearby my location)

So, down the hill I went to place the camera’s…

The WCOv2 on the left, and the BCPro on the right facing the field.

Days went by and I got nothing but grass blowing in the wind.

Then one day I saw a coyote on the WCOv2 (and not on the BCPro). I didn’t think anything unusual at that point. (I’d not seen this thread yet)

I was reviewing events for last night, and much to my surprise, I see a Deer on the WCOv2 (the camera on the left):

I was expecting to see this Deer which clearly was moving from ‘right to left’ to be picked up by the BCPro. I checked the list of events, nothing for the BCPro. I checked the BCPro’s Detection zone settings, It was off. I noticed when the WCOv2 was recording, it appears that the Spotlight for the BCPro turned on.

So, I went to the BCPro’s SD Card, and scrolled back to around 3:28am when the WCOv2 first saw the Deer, and saw this green box indicating something recorded to the the MicroSD Card on the BCPro:

I ‘recorded’ the clip, and saved it to my phone, the BCPro obviously detected the deer by recording it to the MicroSD, and turning on the Spotlight, but the Camera never sent the recording to the Cloud or presented it in the Events Tab.

IF THE WCOv2 HAD NOT BEEN THERE TO RECORD THIS EVENT, I’D OF NEVER OF KNOWN TO CHECK THE MICROSD CARD OF THE BCPro FOR THE FOOTAGE.

Who’d of thought the WCOv2 would send it to the cloud, and the BCPro did not.

Here’s a view from my Floodlight Light Pro in the backyard that caught the whole scene from the ‘top of the hill’:

Hopefully this info will help Wyze resolves this issue where, at least in this case, the BCPro is not recording events properly (at night?)
