I DON’T WANT CHROME!
I use Edge.
Why was a forced to choose a tag for OS that doesn’t include Windows?

Chrome is not required, but Wyze has said that Chrome is the preferred browser. I use Edge and Brave as my browser default.
As for Tags, can you provide where you were tagging the OS? I believe the OS selection is iOS and Android as the App is not supported on Windows platforms. You can use an emulator to get it to work or even associate your phone and then it will run as a mobile window. But native Windows is not an option for the app currently.
Can you provide a bit more context here?
Actually, yes, Chrome is required to view the pan V4 display in WebView. Try it with another browser and it will say to use Chrome.
The strange thing is that events captured by the Pan V4 can be viewed in WebView in other browsers.
See image. It says Chrome is required. This in my Edge browser on my Windows 11 laptop.
When I created my post I was required to select at least two tags. The only items in the list after I selected the first tag were all OS tags, like IOS, Android, IOS/Android, etc.
The Chrome Browser is a recommendation as stated in the image you attached
I am using the Brave Browser on my Windows 11 Laptop. Below you can see my Pan Cam V4 is functioning.
To show I am using Webview, here it is with the header captured. Pan Cam V4 is the bottom Left
However, I can confirm that the Edge Browser does not show the Pan Cam V4. Did anyone open a ticket and Generate a log of this?
I have tried Firefox, but not the Brave browser. The Brave browser is powered by the same engine as Chrome, which may account for its functionality.
True, but so is Edge. Microsoft changed a few things like Brave does. But they are all based on the Chromium Browser approach.
The browser must support the HEVC codec for 4K video, which the Panv4 is the first to use. Google pays the license fee for you, MS requires you to pay the $2 or whatever to add it. Though I’m not sure if adding it to windows automatically adds it to Edge or not, it should.
Edge is basically identical to Chrome. I prefer Chrome, because that way only Google is collecting stuff about you, instead of both Google and MS (and I block Google by using Ublock Lite in Chrome, it is also supported in Edge).
As others have mentioned, Brave is an option too, they paid the fee for you as well. MS used to, but they changed it a while ago.
Just lie…or tell your browser to lie. I don’t think it’s (entirely) about the codec.
Shortly after Cam Pan v4 launched, I was able to view its live stream in Web View in Microsoft Edge on both Linux and Windows[1][2], but streaming in Edge stopped working some time after those initial tests. I’ve seen some Microsoft Edge updates download and install to my PC, and I thought those might resolve the issue, but apparently they haven’t, so today I wondered if there was an easy way to try telling Edge to send a different user agent string. Apparently there is:
That’s all it took to enable streaming Cam Pan v4 for me in Microsoft Edge on Windows and Linux (also in Opera on Linux), so it looks like Web View may be just sniffing the user agent string and telling non-Chrome users that there’s a problem based on that alone instead of actually doing feature detection on the browser.
