V3 cam are rotating and being stuck facing the wrong way! After being set on a detection area!! Why is this happening
Welcome to the forum.
Hopefully you will receive some options soon.
@dave27 loves pan cams. Maybe he has an idea.
Do you have “track motion” or “pan/scan” enabled?
If not, have you shared the camera with someone that may be moving it?
If none of the above are true, possibly some glitch with your app being open but not in use and sending movement commands to the camera (never seen that on my Android, and I usually close out the app when not using it anyway) or the cam is defective, possibly some water got in and is shorting out the controls.

In addition to what @dave27 asked about, I wonder about other settings you might be using and if “being set on a detection area” means that you’ve enabled and set a Detection Zone. With my Cam Pan v3s, I’ve had good results with having Track Motion enabled, several Waypoints set, and Detection Zone set to Off. Before leaving a camera’s Live Stream screen, I tap the Waypoint that I want to be the camera’s “home” position. With a camera set like that, I find that it tracks the movement I want (people, pets) and then returns to its “home” position when the movement its tracking ceases or leaves its view.
I also use an Automation to restart the cameras and reset its position weekly in order to try to account for any waypoint drift and glitchy reconnection issues.
