the page shows the version numbers but no links to download the FW. I tried from PC and mobile phone (android).
I have been going in circles with all Wyze Cam support pages for manual FW updates that seem to point to the webpage above for downloading the FW but I find place where I can download it. Can someone please point me to where the FW can be found? I specifically want the FW version 4.58.16.5654 (February 2, 2026) because the March update has broken two of my v3pro cams spot light feature, and yes , i have tried all the trouble shooting for this issue, and a factory reset. I’m at the point of needing to perform a manual FW update. I worked with support team and sent them logs and they cannot find the issue.
That model does not officially support manual firmware upgrade. If you contact support, you might be able to get them to send you a file or even update it remotely if you provide the MAC address.
Wyze has removed firmware downloads for some cameras lately and we aren’t sure why.
For now, the only way I know of to get firmware downloads to flash the V3Pro is by going to the Internet Archive Wayback Machine such as this following link that goes back to 10/10/2025 when V3Pro firmware was listed as available to download:
From there you can find links to the archived Firmware versions before they were removed such as this one from May 15, 2025 firmware version 4.58.14.3289
You can also remove the internet archive prefix and just use the direct link from Wyze to get the firmware which Wyze is still hosting on their server, they just won’t link to it from their release notes anymore for some reason:
I think that is the last firmware version they made available. Sometimes you can manually type in other firmware versions between the “wcv3p_” and “.bin.zip” and even though they have never been linked or published you can get the file you’re looking for, but I tested some of the newer firmware version for this camera and that doesn’t work in this particular case as I get access denied errors:
so they are definitely officially not providing access to newer firmware. But some of the older firmware that used to be available still is available (just not linked to on the release notes) and worst case scenario it is on the Internet Archive Wayback Machine if you get desperate.
BUT PSA!!! DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
There are some firmware updates that make going back to an earlier firmware update impossible. It is possible this is why Wyze removed all the older Firmware links from the release notes. Maybe newer firmware made the older firmware impossible (ie: maybe the older firmware is incompatible with the updated drivers or other packages) and if you try to flash to older firmware it’s POSSBLE you could brick your device. So I wouldn’t recommend it…but if your camera is already basically bricked and non-functional and you are desperate to try flashing it, then I would personally probably do it, knowing there isn’t much to lose. Just be aware there is a risk in flashing the firmware…but if you are dead set on needing to do it, then I have provided the way for you to accomplish this. I hope it helps
Thank you for the insight and for pointing out the risk. My cameras work except for the Spotlight feature that stopped working all of them at the same time, so it had to be a FW update the broke it. I find it odd that the Wyze website indicates that Firmware is available but yet it is not. I tried going the route of tech support and in the end they did offer to replace cameras. I may just open a ticket again and see if they can correct this issue or provide the FW.
Thank you for providing some direction and guidance. If the changed the manual FW update option, you may be right that an older FW may brick it. I’ll think about where to go from here. It is disappointing that Wyze has not been able to fix this for me. I even waited for later updates to see if my issue would be fixed by later updates, but no dice.
Does the spotlight work at all if you use the manual toggle (icon overlaid on the live view image)? Sometimes the “auto” mode doesn’t behave as expected if the ambient light is slightly higher during certain times of year etc.
Also I would check and make sure you’re using the original adapters, or one rated for 2 amps (2000mA), and maybe test a different adapter just to rule that out.
