Don’t you mean plug and pray? I have that SD card not found error. It can’t be due to WiFi issues.
Amen to everything you said here. I was in the same boat and blamed Wyze for everything. Only when I changed my routers both at home and at the cottage did I realize that the issue was my networks. Ever since I haven’t had any issues besides known AWS and Wyze related.

I agree. Some failures/defects cannot be blamed on network issues. We have the same cameras and firmware but have different experiences, good or bad. Something is buggy.
The greyed-out playback button is a prime example. It is not a network issue and it is not patchable.
Luckily, I haven’t experienced issues, but friends have.
This is not a black-and-white scenario. Any good troubleshooter should know that and not read off a cue card.
Plug-and-play is an old term, but still useful. What ever happened to WYSIWYG ? I guess it went the way of floppies.
While it’s true that some of the problems are due to WiFi, not all of them are. Take a look at the bugs list, a large number can’t be attributed to WiFi.
In addition, Wyze is terrible at regression testing. Even previously fixed bugs creep back in. And major software changes happen without prior notice.
Agree. My router and Wyze cam v2 and v3 are about 12-15 feet apart with no obstructions. Same problem you described.

Check your router’s documentation. Mine comes with utilities similar to these.
