Interesting, I have exactly the same L-brace setup, except the camera is mounted on top of the metal base.
A smart door lock. Please.
For places where it doesnât make sense to have a doorbell, I want a smart lock with a camera inside it.
⌠with ability to unlock the door with face recognition
Automotive Dash Cam⌠PLEASE!!!
Whoâs going to suggest sprinkler head cameras?
This
%! Thanks to @ssummerlin for dropping in the Wishlist link, because that was my first thought when I saw @p2788dealâs post.
Yeah, thatâs been one of my suggestions, as well. ![]()
Avo-Cam-o? Camocado? ![]()
âWyze Camocadoâ˘â has a decent ring to it, I think. Tagline: âItâs the pits!â ![]()
That long? Youâre doing it wrong. ![]()
I like it. If I patent it, I wish use your suggestion. ![]()

Just noticed you trademarked it already.
Youâre prematurely announcing the next Wyze camera; the bird cam!
With less voltage and amps, of course.![]()
I would turn
into a Wyze cam so we could all watch @Crease get jabbed and bleed charitably. ![]()
Donât like the sight of blood. ![]()

Iâll
you. ![]()
A replaceable interior rearview mirror with fore and aft cams would be neat. Integrated to not advertise it is a camera.
Well, the girls would turn the color
Of the Wyze Labs Cam-o-cado when he would drive
Down their street in his El Dorado
He could walk down your street
And girls could not resist his stare
Pablo Picasso never got called an *
Not like you
Alright
Best avo lyric I could think of. Switch girls to birds if you want. The 'Lovers wonât mind. ![]()
Iâm continuously shocked itâs so hard to find a popular option for this. When I first looked for a video doorbell in 2020, I thought that almost all video doorbells did this and came with 2 way video call displays. Then I started looking for them and learned basically none of them do this⌠At least, none of the popular ones.
Finally, Wyze launched their first VDB, and I still wished it had a monitor to view what was on the other side of the door. Eventually I figured out a way to make Google and Alexa auto stream a Wyze camera to their display for me when someone approached or rang the doorbell. So I worked around this by putting a Google/Alexa display near my front door and making it autostream so I could see who is at my door before I open it.
I am still surprised that this obvious convenience is so rare or difficult to implement for almost every company and why on earth I ever assumed in 2020 that this was basically a standard feature when in reality itâs almost unheard of.
Maybe call it a Wyze Scents Hub? ![]()
I know this is the land of overlapping coverage, but isnât the REAL challenge to do something well with as few resources (cams) as possible, through, I donno, ingenuity? ![]()
For instance, I heard Tenacious D @dave27 once say sometimes too many APs is as bad as too few. He just tossed this off as he was soldering something tiny but itâs the first time I recall anyone saying it. Then he revved up his muscle car and sped away, so cool. ![]()
Back to the focus principle ? ![]()
