I agree that a device owner should be able to designate what features a shared user may access, including microSD card recordings, which is why I encourage people to vote and share comments in the topic I linked. According to one of the cofounders earlier this year, this is supposed to become a higher priority for the app team, though I have no idea when users should expect to see results, nor do I know which specific features within that topic might be addressed.
