Waypoint Hotkeys for Pan Cameras

To anyone at Wyze…

Specifically for Pan cameras, is it possible to have access to the saved waypoints available as hotkeys placed besides the D-pad on the Wyze app?

Oftentimes, it would be beneficial to be able to point the camera to a specific waypoint to check on something, as an alternative to using the D-pad (cumbersome) or running Pan Scan (rather slow).

Right now, you can mimic this operation by going 4 levels deep into Settings>Advanced Settings>Motor Controls>Pan Scan Settings, then tapping on the saved waypoints. Imagine if those hotkeys were in the main screen of the Pan UI, how much easier and quicker it would be to point the camera at the desired waypoint without fiddling with the other controls?

Thanks!

If you would like to request that Wyze add this feature, that is handled thru a new topic post in the Wishlist. Go to the Wishlist, search the topics for one that matches your request. If you find one, vote for it at the top, like  some posts, and add your reply post to support the request. If you do not find a match, submit a new topic for approval.

In your search, you may find that Waypoint buttons on cam control screen or Pan Cam position memories / presets meet your feature request requirements.

If what you see is recent events, put your finger on “Recent Events” and swipe down.

Great example! But for clarification, this feature is only available on the Cam Pan V3. The Pan Cam and Pan Cam V2, still suffering with the old UI, do not have that capability.

Good point. I so seldom do any pointing with my two old original PANs that I forgot about that. Do so regularly on the Pan V3s

Yes. I still have the Pan v1. It’s going to be just a UI enhancement and all they have to do is bring those waypoint hotkeys (buried 4 levels down) up on the surface.

IMO, unless they do a complete App UI overhaul, I don’t anticipate any of the older cams getting updated UI. All the newer cams are coming out with the new vertical UI, but since they are already two versions beyond the PanV1, it is on its downhill run to EOL.

I would also like to see this available on all my pan cameras. Right now I only see it as an option for my pan v3…
