Video Doorbell Pro only randomly records events and sends notifications--no rhyme nor reason!

Video doorbell pro set at maximum sensitivity still only randomly records and randomly sends notifications. No rhyme nor reason why sometimes it does this and other times it does not. Appears to be a sensitivity issue. MOST close encounters are recorded, but vehicles and pedestrians are catch as catch can. Is this a software/firmware issues, or is it my hardware?

The old adage, “you get what you pay for” may be a reality, but it is a lame excuse, at best! I think you will agree that if Wyze was TOTALLY transparent and expressed the fact that we will experience all of these anomalies, but remind us “you get what you pay for”, then maybe we wouldn’t have a leg to stand on! All things considered, though, I do not think this is rocket science!!

My Wyze cams only get used in non-security locations.

I use Reolink 4k cams with SD and NVR much more reliable and No Subscription :grin:

Mine is the same way. I never know if it’s going to record something or not. It is offline 99% of the time & the only time that it for sure records is when someone actually rings the doorbell. Not only that but it takes forever to pull up the video on my Amazon Echo device or my phone to see who is at the doorbell to see if I want to answer, ignore, or to respond by voice to it (ex. to tell them to hang on) that whoever it is has usually already left so I have to go answer it myself regardless. Add all of those things together & it pretty much defeats the reason that I got it except for the doorbell ringing, but I could have just gotten a regular doorbell if that’s all it does for A LOT cheaper.:frowning: I have several of their regular cameras & I love them but this doorbell one isn’t worth wasting money on. It would be great if they could do a software upgrade to fix them but I have reported the offline connectivity issue along with the error code several times & it hasn’t been fixed so I’m thinking that all of these issues are probably hardware ones instead of software ones.
