So are we confirmed that the latest firmware is solid? Im still a few versions back (.0.294) because it sort of works compared to what everyone else was going thru. If i get a thumbs up, ill update.
Best to form your own opinion based on all the feedback from the update. There are a few negative, but the overwhelming majority saw positive improvements.
Cool. Thanks SlabSlayer. I guess ill decide if the minor issues i have now out weigh what little it might improve. We’ll see. Thanks.
Following because mine drops connection several times a week also and its so freaking annoying. And my wifi is only 6 ft away. So something is happening on the v2 doorbell end and not my wifi. My floodlight cam neved loses connection
Also having the same issue. Pretty sad you pay 100 dollars or more for this and it wont work like its supposed to. Everything has been checked but it will not let me update firmware. Tried everything I could to get this to work. Ridiculous.
It is 2024, so how has Wyze not fixed the doorbell pro WiFi issue?? My doorbell is powered by solar panel. My WiFi router is 10 feet away. The walls are wood and drywall. My WiFi is Sonic fiber optic, reliable and fast. I have rebooted, unplugged, updated multiple times. It works and then about an hour later it doesn’t. I was hoping to not switch to another security provider as all my other cameras are Wyze and I pay for the Wyze security service. Wyze customer service keeps asking me to do what I’ve already done multiple times. This is very disappointing.
Where is your doorbell chime in all of this? The doorbell Pro connects to its chime, and then the chime is what connects into your wireless network. How’s the signal from your network to the chime? How’s the signal from your doorbell Pro to your chime?
The chime is three feet from doorbell and 7 feet from WiFi. The chime connects fine, until the doorbell disconnects from WiFi then both go down.
Having the exact same issue. I have to do a reset to the doorbell every 3-4 days because the connectivity fails. I have a V2
I previously had a Ring doorbell that had zero connectivity issues in 6 years. The only reason I replaced it was the latest price hike on their monthly rates. I figured that was the excuse I needed to finally make the switch so I was 100 Wyze with my 6 other cameras.
The really sad thing about this…. I had to put a new Wyze camera on my front porch so I had a backup when the doorbell loses connectivity (which I obviously needed when I went on vacation and wasn’t there to reset it on day 3 of trip)
I do have a ticket for the issue, but I was essentially told to do the exact same thing that the online troubleshooting states to do (which I noted in the ticket). I was hoping something in the logs would have resulted in a different approach. (Do we have access to view connectivity logs? )
I figured I’d add my story to the pile. I wish I would have dug a little deeper before making the switch. Based on the posts I’ve seen on various forums while researching this issue, this is a very common issue with the doorbells. Hopefully a resolution other than routinely resetting the device is found.
Ive had the same problem for months now, my doorbell can has never worked properly it has always lost connection. I have my router about 5 feet away from it and I have great internet speed. I’ve made sure I am using a 2.4ghz connection, checked that I’m getting the correct voltage from my doorbell transformer and have reinstalled cam numerous times. I have even gotten a replacement doorbell cam directly from Wyze after sending in a diagnostic data report. It works for a few weeks and then stops working out of nowhere. I bought in total 4 cams and the doorbell cam is the only one that’s never worked!
I just purchased and I installed a Doorbell Cam Duo and I’m having the same issue- it keeps losing connection to my router. I have to unclip it, pull out the battery, then reinsert the battery to reestablish a connection. It will continue working for a few hours, but then I lose connection again.
Has there ever been a solution to this problem?
